Rodrigo Muniz's baby joy after miscarriage heartbreak: Premier League star reveals wife is pregnant again after off-field agony last season in emotional interview
Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz has opened up on his 'really difficult' off-field issues, with the Brazilian revealing he and his wife suffered a miscarriage last year.
Muniz, 25, earned the Cottagers a point in Saturday's draw against Newcastle, with his 83rd minute strike his first Premier League goal since August 2025.
The centre forward, speaking with club media after the Craven Cottage game, spoke candidly of the difficulties he has faced with wife Jady - who are now expecting again after a turbulent year.
'Last season was really difficult for me because, now I can say, I had surgery, my wife was pregnant last season but unfortunately we lost the baby,' he said.
'But God is good all the time and now she is pregnant again. The goal was for my baby and I hope this season will be different to last season.'

Muniz has not been afforded a start by new Fulham boss Alvaro Arbeloa, making all eight of his Premier League appearances off the bench so far this season.
He hopes that his contribution against the Toon has done enough to earn his manager's trust after the international break.
'I train hard every week to get opportunities to play and I want to play more,' he said.
'I cannot control that but I showed to the gaffer I want to play more.
'And I have to keep training hard for him to say, 'okay, now is your time', and then I'm ready.
'To be a striker, you need to be ready to play five or ten minutes. Of course, I want to play more. And I want to start as well.
'We have a lot of players in the national team. We train with, I think, ten players.
'It's really important because we cannot stay out for too long.
'And when we have time to work it's really good – because it's really important that the gaffer can show us what he wants and we have time to do it.'
