Mohamed Salah has been backed by bookmakers to make a move to Saudi Arabia following confirmation that he will leave Liverpool . The Egyptian released a statement confirming his summer exit on Tuesday night after nine trophy-laden years at the club.

It has since emerged that he has reached an agreement with the club to leave on a free transfer . Liverpool will therefore not get a fee for the player in the summer, but will free up his wages of around £400k-a-week.

There has already been speculation over where Salah could be playing his football next season. His agent Ramy Abbas has confirmed that no move has been lined up.

Writing on social media, he said: "We do not know where Mohamed will play next season. This also means that no one else knows."

Salah has been previously heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, and was the target of a £105million offer from Al Ittihad back in 2023. Liverpool turned down the offer, with Salah remaining at the club, helping them win the Premier League title in 2025.

According to BetFair , a move to any Saudi Pro League team is the most likely move, following the latest update, with odds of 13/10. A move to America with any MLS team is the second favourite at 15/8.
