Man Utd defender receives first senior national team call up

Manchester United defender Leny Yoro has received his first senior France call up after being promoted from the Under-21s.
The 20-year-old has been drafted into Zinedine Zidane’s squad to replace Real Madrid centre-back Ibrahima Konate, who has withdrawn with a minor knee injury and returned to Spain.
Yoro will now have the chance to make his senior international debut, having previously represented France at youth level.
France begin their Nations League Group A campaign away to Turkey on Friday before travelling to Belgium on Monday.

The two-time world champions will then host Italy and Belgium on October 2 and October 5 respectively.
Yoro has made four appearances in all competitions for Manchester United so far this season under Michael Carrick.
He has started twice, although he is still waiting for his first Premier League start of the campaign.
