Leeds United fan runs a mile every day until team win five in a row
A Leeds United supporter is running one mile every day until the team win five in a row. Sarah Pratt, 48, from Pudsey, set the light-hearted challenge to back the club and spread positivity.
She took inspiration from The United Strand, a Manchester United fan refusing to cut his hair until five straight wins. “But I like running anyway so I thought I’m going to run a mile a day,” she told yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk.
She has now run for 273 consecutive days, including Christmas and New Year’s Day. The miles are manageable, but staying consistent is harder. “I’m not going to end it now because it's raining.”
Her springer dogs often join, and she records a short Leeds chat on each run. Clips go on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, and she sometimes invites fellow supporters.
Pratt says the routine does not influence results and that five straight wins are difficult. The goal is to lift the mood and unite fans. “I hope that people speak about Leeds United and the team a little bit more positively over social media.”
She has backed Leeds her whole life and has followed the team across Europe. Updates are at @LUFC_Adventures on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
