Hull City owner shares ANOTHER cryptic transfer update with fans on social media after hitting out at 'fake' reports - teasing more signings as goalkeeper arrives for club-record fee

Hull City owner Acun Ilicali has once again taken to social media to deliver a cryptic update to fans over his club's summer transfer activity.

Ilicali - known as a somewhat maverick owner - raised plenty of eyebrows last month when he took to social media to list 14 transfers the club were working on to bolster Sergej Jakirovic's squad.

In a social media post, the Turkish media magnate teased the nationality of each prospective signing and assigned a percentage to the likelihood of each deal being completed.

The Tigers, who gained promotion to the Premier League through the playoffs last season, had successfully signed Jack Butland, Oscar Zambrano and Matt Targett prior to Ilicali's first social media post.

Ilicali has now taken to X once again to provide another update, this time revealing that 10 signings have been fully agreed, three previously-teased deals have fallen through and another eight moves are still in the works.

Posting at midnight on Wednesday morning, he delivered an 'upgraded version' of the transfer dealings with Japanese international Hidemasa Morita joining Butland, Zambrano and Targett on the completed list.

Green ticks were placed next to Greek, Norwegian, Senegalese, Australian, Swedish and Jamaican flags, indicating that those signings are set to be announced imminently.

At 10am on Wednesday, the Tigers officially announced that Olympiacos goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis had signed for a club record fee, thought to be around £20million plus add-ons.

Norwegian midfielder Jens Hjerto Dahl and Senegalese defender Nobel Mendy have both been heavily linked with moves to the newly-promoted outfit, along with Australian star Lucas Herrington, Swedish left-back Elliot Stroud and Jamaica international Leon Bailey.

Following Ilicali's latest transfer update, Hull fans are hopeful those players could be announced in the coming days, although there is no guarantee they are the signings referenced in his post.

Ilicali concluded his update by revealing Hull are also working on deals for three French players, as well as an Englishman, a Spaniard, a Portuguese player, another Japanese star and a footballer from both Turkey and Germany.

In a message to supporters last month, Ilicali wrote on X: 'Dear Hull City family, We are reading dozens of false transfer rumors in many places.

The Tigers were promoted after Oli McBurnie scored a 95th-minute winner in the Championship play-off final against Middlesbrough.
