Regardless of your opinion on Arne Slot 's two seasons at the helm for Liverpool , there's no denying the Dutchman has left his mark on the squad. Slot took charge at Anfield in the summer of 2024 and immediately won over fans by securing a Premier League title in his first season.

He then embarked on sweeping changes last summer, sanctioning the exits of numerous players - including several who were instrumental in that title triumph - before recruiting high-profile talents such as Hugo Ekitike, Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak. That extensive overhaul has resulted in major teething problems this term, with Liverpool currently positioned outside the Champions League qualification spots.

Club icon Mohamed Salah has already been confirmed as one of the first exits this summer, with the Egyptian revealing he will leave at the end of this campaign , having publicly aired his frustrations with Slot through the media.

Now, Mirror Football examines the 13 former Reds stars who have left during Slot's reign and how they're getting on in their new surroundings.

Luis Diaz has been in scintillating form since his £33.5million move to Bayern Munich last summer. The Colombian winger has developed a lethal finishing streak under Vincent Kompany, and is currently producing the finest football of his career alongside Harry Kane .

Diaz has racked up an impressive 22 goals and 18 assists in 38 appearances across all competitions - a considerably better return than he ever achieved on Merseyside.

Another player flourishing in Germany is Jarell Quansah. He left Liverpool in pursuit of regular first-team football and, following Bayer Leverkusen's rocky start to the campaign, the 23-year-old has emerged as one of the Bundesliga's standout defenders.

The Reds academy graduate has featured in 38 matches this season, performing well enough to earn his senior England debut under Thomas Tuchel in November. Liverpool may well be left regretting allowing Quansah to leave, given their lack of defensive depth this season.

Chaos seems to follow Darwin Nunez wherever he goes. The Uruguayan never lived up to his hefty price tag in a Liverpool shirt and was offloaded for £46m last summer to Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Hilal.

However, after netting six times in 17 outings, the 26-year-old was ruthlessly cast aside in February when Al-Hilal brought in Karim Benzema as his replacement. Nunez was subsequently dropped from the club's domestic squad, leaving him restricted to Asian Champions League duties as he desperately seeks an escape from his Middle Eastern nightmare this summer.

Much like Quansah, Ben Gannon Doak was always going to secure more consistent game time away from Merseyside. Unfortunately, things haven't quite gone to plan for the 20-year-old winger at Bournemouth .

His only start for the Cherries this season has come in the League Cup and he's played fewer than 200 minutes in all competitions. The Scot's season went from bad to worse when he suffered a long-term hamstring injury in November, which he has only recently recovered from.

The Republic of Ireland shot-stopper was far too talented to continue as a No.2 goalkeeper and made the move to Brentford last June for £12.5m. Kelleher is now receiving his well-earned opportunities in west London with almost 3,000 minutes under his belt this campaign.

Questions remain over whether Giorgi Mamardashvili has represented an improvement as Alisson Becker's understudy, while Kelleher has proved his worth for the high-flying Bees.

The most high-profile Anfield departure last summer was Trent Alexander-Arnold as the boyhood Reds fan decided to join Real Madrid at the end of his contract. The decision caused huge backlash as the Liverpool faithful couldn't understand his reasoning and booed him.

The right-back has continued to split opinion among pundits and fans in the Spanish capital. Following an underwhelming start, the 27-year-old suffered a hamstring problem which sidelined him for six weeks in September, before sustaining a muscle tear in December. He has only recently begun to feature regularly again, though he's managed just three assists this campaign and was overlooked by England manager Tuchel for the recent international fixtures.

One player who has undoubtedly flourished since leaving Liverpool is Tyler Morton. The 23-year-old midfielder has garnered praise for his performances with Lyon this season, racking up 37 appearances and five goal contributions.

His market value has doubled since the Reds offloaded him for £15m, with clubs including Tottenham and Nottingham Forest reportedly keen on securing his services.

Despite his cult hero status at Anfield, no-nonsense centre-half Nat Phillips was never destined to become a fixture in Liverpool's defensive line under Slot, given his clear limitations. He finally left on a permanent basis after six loan stints away, signing for West Bromwich Albion in June 2025.

The 29-year-old has been an integral part of the Albion defence this season, clocking up 35 Championship appearances as they battle to avoid the drop.

Though Harvey Elliott's departure was initially on loan, the obligation-to-buy clause Liverpool agreed with Aston Villa means the midfielder warrants inclusion on this list. Yet, the mere fact that Unai Emery refuses to play him in order to avoid triggering that same clause shows just how poorly his Villa spell has unfolded.

Emery appears to have little faith in the player. Since making four cameos in the first six games of the season, Elliott has made just one 13-minute appearance against Brentford, often being left out of the matchday squad entirely. It seems unlikely that he will feature at Anfield or Villa Park next term.

Brazilian keeper Marcelo Pitaluga endured several unsuccessful loan spells following his arrival at Liverpool in 2020. The 23-year-old was sent out to gain experience at Macclesfield, St Patrick's Athletic and Livingston, eventually returning to Fluminense on a permanent basis in January 2025. He is yet to play for his boyhood club this season.

Portuguese winger Fabio Carvalho was among the first players Slot moved on after succeeding Jurgen Klopp . He was sold to Brentford in a £27.5m transfer in August 2024.

Despite limited opportunities, the 23-year-old showed promising form this term, netting three times in nine outings. His season came to a devastating end in November when he suffered an ACL injury during training.

"He was open, easy to speak to. We're both Dutch, so we are very direct. I like that," Van den Berg told The Guardian about his relationship with Slot, who he'd previously trained under at PEC Zwolle. "He told me, 'You're not going to start but I believe if you stay you will get a chance in the future to start.'"

Things didn't ultimately pan out and the defender also completed a £25m switch to Brentford in 2024. The 24-year-old has demonstrated his considerable quality for the Bees so far, clocking up 32 appearances this campaign, mainly as a starter, for the seventh-placed side.
